Proper Grove ("Proper Grove," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you register for our marketing communications, how we use and share it — including with our marketing partners — and the rights and choices you have. 01Information we collect
When you complete our registration form, you voluntarily provide — and we collect — the following personal information:
- Identifiers and contact details: first name, last name, email address, and phone number.
- Postal address: street address, city, state, and ZIP code.
- Consent and registration data: the fact that you checked the consent box, the exact consent language shown to you, and the date, time, and IP address of your submission and of your double opt-in verification.
We also automatically collect limited technical information (such as browser type, device, and approximate location from your IP address) to operate and secure the site and to maintain accurate consent records. We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive categories of information through this form.
02How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Send you the property-management information, updates, and marketing offers you registered to receive from Proper Grove;
- Contact you by email, phone call, and text message — including via automated technology and/or prerecorded messages — about relevant products and services, consistent with the consent you gave;
- Share relevant offers from our real-estate marketing partners (see Section 3);
- Verify your registration through our double opt-in process and maintain proof of your consent;
- Respond to your requests, honor opt-outs, and comply with our legal obligations.
Consent is never a condition of any purchase. Registering for marketing communications is entirely optional, and you can opt out at any time without affecting any product or service you obtain from Proper Grove.
04TCPA consent records & retention
When you consent to receive calls and text messages sent using automated technology and/or prerecorded messages, we are required under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) to keep records demonstrating that consent.
We retain your TCPA consent records — including the consent language shown, your submission, and your double opt-in confirmation, together with associated timestamps and IP addresses — for at least five (5) years after you opt out or your consent otherwise ends, consistent with applicable recordkeeping and limitations periods. We keep these records solely as proof of consent and to handle any related dispute, even after you unsubscribe.
Other personal information is retained only as long as needed to provide you marketing communications and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
05Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know / access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (including our TCPA recordkeeping obligation above).
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and to opt out of any "sale" as those terms are defined under California law.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@proper-grove.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request," or use the contact details in Section 10. You may use an authorized agent, and we will verify your request before acting on it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: California residents may opt out of the sharing of their personal information with marketing partners by emailing privacy@proper-grove.com. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required.
06Opting out & your choices
You are always in control of how we contact you:
- Email: click the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text to opt out; reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
- Calls: ask to be placed on our internal do-not-call list during any call, or email us.
- Everything at once: email privacy@proper-grove.com to be removed from all Proper Grove marketing and to request that we instruct our partners to stop contacting you.
Opting out stops future marketing communications. As noted in Section 4, we will retain proof-of-consent records as required by law even after you opt out.
07Children & under-18 exclusion
Our registration and marketing communications are intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not register or submit any information through this site.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact privacy@proper-grove.com and we will take appropriate action.
08Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your contact details accurate and notify us of any suspected unauthorized use.
09Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated where required by law. Your continued participation in our marketing communications after an update means you accept the revised policy.
